The mini bus drove us to the main entrance of the palace. There
were many people when we reached the entrance. Firstly, we had to line up and
get the numbered tickets from the officers in charged, then later we would
follow the line and go to the area where the food is. Due to the religion of
Brunei, the line was divided into two which one is for males and another is for
females. There were many varieties of the food, plain rice, nasi briyani,
sausages, fried chicken wings, fish fingers, lamb, beef, chicken and spaghetti.
The food was actually catered by Royal Brunei Catering. After taking the food
that we want, we went to grab some seats. The dinning area was so big! It was
filled with people and mostly kids. There were also desserts corner where you
can get some cookies , pudding and cakes. Drinks were supplied too.
There were a lot of foreign visitors which I believe they
were tourists. I read from local newspapers the next day and it says that the
visitors were from a cruise which stopped by our local’s port for half day and
the tourists thought it would be great experience for them to grab this chance
to visit the palace and Royal Family. But it was kinda ashamed of us because
there were a lot of locals bringing in empty plastic bags and later filled the
plastic bags with the food. When queue-ing for food, they would request the
waitresses to give them bigger portions and they would only eat half of the
food and filled the other half into the empty plastic bags and take-aways.
There were many people doing this and I saw it in front of my own eyes. It was
so sad. We are here to greet the Royal family and wishing them, not here to get
take-away free food! Even Chineses also do it. Why? There were also people
bringing in empty bottles and later filled those bottles with the drinks
supplied. Oh my god… *sighs*
We quickly finished our food as we knew that we would need
to go to the waiting area to wait to be called to enter the hall where we get
to meet the royal family. We had to go through 2 waiting halls. One is open-air
and the other is air-conditioned. The wait was like forever… we waited for
almost 2 hrs till we were asked to move to the air-conditioned hall. I was so
forgetful that I didn’t bring a long PSP or Nintendo DS. You could see that the
floors of both halls were full of rubbish. Chicken wings bones, tissue papers,
torn plastic cups and etc. Kids were running everywhere.
After waiting for another 10 minutes in the air-conditioned
hall, we were asked to move on and we followed the line and waited for our turn
to enter the hall. The palace was so huge! There were even escalators and water
fountains everywhere! There were many doors and I supposed those rooms are used
to serve the foreign delegates for interview when they come to visit Brunei.
Finally, only a few steps left to enter the hall where all the female Royal
Family are in. At this point, you can choose to either enter the hall to greet
the Royal Family or decide to skip this step and go to the area where you can
get the goodie box directly. I saw some of the parents skipping the greeting
step and went to queue in the other line to get their freebies. Sighs… I started
thinking what was their main intention of visiting palace.. Finally, I entered
the lavish and luxurious hall and get to greet the Royal Family. I was happy =)
It was a good experience and I saw many faces of Bruneians. Love, B|u3qu3en <3

| The show has started! Finally, 2 years of learning in Maktab Duli is coming to an end soon. I sat for my first test paper this morning, Business Studies Paper 1. It says that both section A and B in the papers have to be completed within 1 hr and 15 mins but i managed to complete all the four questions in section A using less than 20 mins and therefore i had extra time to think and answer the essay question in section B. The June paper was harder than this time, i must say. I'm trying to be proud that i'm able to answer most of the questions well but it should be answered even though you didn't revise thoroughly.
Section A :- Ques 1 - span of control ; organisation chart Ques 2 - factor that cause demand ; inelastic of demand Ques 3 - economies of scale Ques 4 - source of finance for revenue expenditure ; capital expenditure
Section B :- There were 3 questions which you only need to choose one to answer and i choosed, Ques 5 (a) analyse the benefits for a private limited company to convert to public limited company. (b) discuss the possible views of stakeholders regarding the converting of the company into public limited company.
i really hope i can score A in this paper.

It's Hari Raya in Brunei now. A big festival for all the muslims 'round the world. In Brunei, the istana (palace) where the Royal family stays is always open to public in this month for 3 days (usually starting on the 2nd day of raya). Public gets to enjoy the food there which is catered by Royal Brunei Catering, tour the palace, get the goodies box (which contains a pack of drink, snacks, chocolates, biscuits and etc) and for kids below 12, they would be receiving green packet which contains $5. And the highlight of the this trip to istana is getting to shake hand with Her Royal Highness and the other females in Royal family.
It sounds nice, isn't it? So me and my mom, together with Jia Hui and her mom, decided to follow Uncle Chilin to the palace. Eric followed us too. And it was the last day for the opening of istana to the public. There were lotsa of cars and the traffic was so so jam and so uncle had to park his car far away and we had to walk. When we reached the main gate of the palace, there was this bus which could drive us up to the entrance of the palace if we were too lazy to walk up hill (mind you, there is a certain distance from the main gate to the main entrance of the palace). It was just started to rain and we thought it would be better for us to take the bus as we were bringing Eric who happened to be a lil boy and me, having a big exam on the next day and this is to try to avoid we getting ill. When the bus stopped in front of us, people behind us just PUSHED us so hard and SQUEEZED each other's body and this moment seems to be taking forever... Nevertheless, all the 6 of us still managed to sit on the mini bus.
To be Continued.....

| Stress! Stress! Stress! Currently having this 1 week study leave to do all revisions on the upcoming Big exam. I targeted at least 2 A so let's see. It's so so making me crazy doing all these past year Maths questions. I keep referring back to other people's workings (that means i'm not good enough and high reliance on other people's works) I should do more practice on maths. And have i mentioned bout Accounting? Err.. no. Alright, i haven't really start revising Accounting yet and though the syllabus for both AS and A2 has a total of about 20+ chapters. I just don't feel like to do the revision on Accounting now.. i just feel really really stress when i see the word A-C-C-O-U-N-T-I-N-G. So i'm gonna do it later after i master Maths A2 papers. I really think i should feel grateful as i managed to scored A for Maths As papers and i don't have to resit it this time. Which it also means that i should have more time to focus the revision on other papers while most of my friends are trying hard out there to balance the revision on so many papers as they resit the papers. I have to balance my revision on each subject too. But i haven't really sort it out yet.. arrrgghhhh later later later.. i will definitely do it later after i xanga hehe What i'm really fear of is General Paper. It's so hard for me to score. Whenever i sit for the paper, i thought i was confidence enough to get at least a C. However, like i said, it's always 'I Thought'. When teacher gave us back the papers, i always ended up with E. Hopefully not this time with the Cambridge fellows.

Andy is not around these few days and i thought this is really really a good chance for me to concentrate more on my studies. Yea, i said, "concentrate more" and not "fully focus" hahaha you know.. my place is full of things which can really attract me and distract me from studies. But there is actually some progress on Maths revision. I tend to focus and understand more about those Differentiation and Integration and blah blah blah

Chocolate! It's really my good companion especially during this period. My glucose intake has shoo-ed up so high due to stress and pressure. Andy is trying all his best to stop me from eating all those junks but i'll just act like a good girl infront of him and then stuff all those chocolates in my mouth behind him. I can't live without him.. but i can't live without chocolates too! Then i decided to choose both.

There are still so many things left undone. After exam, i'm visiting Thailand with my family and Jia Hui's family on traveling purpose. Though is just a four days three nights trip but i think i seriously should plan it and make good use of this chance to explore Thai. I should write up this agenda or itinerary thing and print out and follow it when i arrived Thai. As i haven't been on a plane since i was 13 and now im 20 so erm.. 20 minus 13.. 7 years is it? Oh yea, 7. See, i do improve on my maths! And i'm planning to take up a part time job at some company. Yea, i want a proper part time job and unlike cashier, ticket seller and etc. Because i think their working hours is longer and i have to date and watch tv and online after work so.. hahahahaha With this income, i'm gonna save up as much as i can as because Sin Cheah is inviting me to go on a Taiwan trip with her next year, sometime in July or Aug. Jia Hui keeps saying bout going to Singapore next year. I keep saying that i wanna go travel with Andy. And Andy keeps saying that he has no budget for traveling (<- he told me his Thai trip with his course mates has been canceled as some of them back out and he planned to use the money that he has saved up to now to get a new handphone. Smartass Andy. You're my man *muak*) There is just so many wants! I gotta travel with these people next year. No no.. I MUST travel with these people next year and year after and year after and.... arrrghhh every year lar!

Last Sunday morning, i received a call from Rano from http://ranoadidas.com and he told me that i've been choosen as one of the winners for the Ramadhan Quiz that he hosted last week. There were lotsa prizes and i got a $10 voucher at The Other Office, Cafe & Bistro (why not the buffet to Empire or Sheraton??!!! anyway, better than nothing hahaha) Rano asked me if i'm a blogger and i answered yes. He continued and ask for my link and i told him i own Xanga and Food-Hungry. Second day, he sms me again and asked for my link and gave him Food-Hungry url. Later of that day, i checked the site's statistics and BOOM! Many people visited my site on that day and all referred from Ranoadidas. That's fine lar.. but the real problem is the next day when i was in Accounting class, Mdm Elicia advised me "don't eat too much lar!!!" Uh Oh~~~ I guess she is now probably one of the readers of Food-Hungry.
